Goats
We are now milking five of our does and getting about 1 1/2 gallons of milk each day.
We are selling the milk by the quart this year, if you are interested in picking some up feel free to reach out Contact | Long Creek Farm!

Four of our does have not had kids yet, but it looks like three of them may never have kids this year. We have a few customers on our waiting list for the baby goats that will be born, but if you are interested in getting a goat kid, you can contact us and we will let you know when the kids are born if there are any available.

We sold Blaise earlier in the year and are going to get a new buckling from Black Hoof Farm once he's weaned, sometime in July. Black Hoof Farm specializes in breeding good milk goats. So we are hoping our new buck will pass good milking lines to his kids.

Ducks
The ducks have still been laying almost every day. We have been moving them to new pasture now that the grass is growing. We are now down to three females and our male.

We bought about 50 ducklings in March and had been selling them. We decided as they grew older to keep all the females, but a few of the males are still available. We have been moving the ducklings almost every day onto new pasture.

Chickens
Our chickens have started laying regularly now that it is getting closer to summer. We lost one hen recently, not sure the reason. There are 12 hens in our current flock. We are moving them almost every day also.
Guinea pigs
Meet Oliver, Cecilia and Petunia! We have decided to raise Guinea Pigs, so recently we added these three new Cavies to the farm. We will notify everyone on our app or group when the pups are born!
Dogs
Dakota likes to spend a lot of time outside guarding the property and recently she found a mother raccoon and her babies in a hollow tree stump. She also found a nest of baby Armadillos, chased a bobcat away from the chickens and chased off a raccoon and two opossums!

Pumpkin is getting bigger and has a ton of energy! She goes on about a half mile walk almost every day (usually twice a day), and she absolutely loves it! Here is a link to a video of one of her walks! https://www.longcreekfarm.net/group/long-creek-farm/discussion/12b4c632-5810-45e2-a747-c1f3c8d4e4a5
