Goat Kid Update

Philly had the first litter of the year on 2-23-26 and then Nutmeg had her litter of four on 2-26-26. All of Philly's babies are sold, she had three girls and a boy. Nutmeg had three boys and one girl, all her babies are reserved.

The rest of the goats will not be having kids until later.

Mamie has only ever had singles, but last year her kid was big and had nice coloring. Her kids will most likely be good milkers. Mamie makes the most milk of all our goats.

Shotgun had four kids last year and will probably have about the same or less this year. She will probably be having her kids in early April. Shotgun also makes a lot of milk, so if you are wanting milking goats her kids may be a good choice.

Cocoa usually has litters on the smaller side and will probably have two this year. She will probably be having her kids in mid-April.

Chocolate Chip also seems like she will have around two this year. One of her babies was very nice coloring last year. She makes an avarage amount of milk, and her babies could also be good milkers.

Shadow has only had one kid before, but her baby was really nice coloring last year. Shadow also seems to be a good mother.

Ava is our only goat who has had solid white babies. She will probably have around two kids this year. She is also a pretty good milker.

This is Melody's first year, so we don't really know how many she will have. There is a possibility that her male will be a buck from Black Hoof Farm, his name is Leroy. Black Hoof Farm breeds for good milking lines. Shotgun is her mother.

We are not sure if Siena will have babies this year. If she does her babies will probably be good milkers and have nice coloring.

Our other Nigerians and our two Oberhasli's might not be having kids at all, if they do it would not be until much later in the year.
