About Us

We are a small family farm in Claremore Oklahoma. We raise Nigerian goats, Khaki Campbell ducks, and chickens. We also sell homemade sourdough bread.

We try to give our animals the most natural, happy lives we can. We achieve this through natural feeds, pasture rotation, and raising breeds that are naturally hardy and suited to alternative farming methods.

One often-overlooked aspect of alternative farming is the type of salt we use for our livestock. We buy Himalayan or sea salt for ourselves, but we never thought about giving it to our animals we just used the regular white salt block from the farm store for them.

However, when we went to the Okie Homesteading Expo, there was a representative of the Redmond Salt Company there talking about why we shouldn't be using white salt for our animals. It totally made sense, so we ordered salt from their company and won't be going back to white salt! Read more

New Goats

We added three new nigerians to our herd this week, Snickers, Oatmeal, and Honey. They are all pregnant, but Honey won't be kidding for about 5 months. The other goats seem to be fine with them, sometimes we have trouble when we bring new goats home but they are getting along with these.
